Welcome to Luminari Talent Inc. (“Company”, “Luminari,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). For reference,
LumiQ® is our flagship native and web platform offering professional education for CPAs.
Luminari Talent Inc. is the official legal business name of the Company who has developed
LumiQ.
This privacy policy (the Privacy Policyor this Policy”) outlines how we collect, use,
disclose, manage and safeguard your personal information which are provided in connection
with www.luminari.ai, www.lumiqcpd.com, www.lumiqlearn.com, www.lumiqcpe.com,
www.lumiq.cpa, www.luminari.co, and other Luminari-owned sites (“Websites”) and/or
applications available through third parties that may require that you consent to their own
privacy policy and terms (“Websites and Applications”), including access to Luminari Content
and the ability to view or listen to lecture series videos, audio streams and podcasts streamed
over the Internet to certain connected computers, tablets, smartphones, or other related
devices (the Services”). All terms not otherwise defined herein shall have the meanings
ascribed to such terms under the Terms of Service. This Privacy Policy applies both to those
who interact with Luminari as individuals at their own initiative, and those who have access to
Luminari because their employer has entered into a Software as a Service Agreement with
Luminari.
For the purposes of this Policy, personal information means information about an
identifiable individual.
Luminari will collect personal information from anyone who accesses and uses the Services
when you access and use the Services, and from other visitors to our Websites whether you
are a registered user or browsing. By accessing or using the Services or accessing the Sites,
you are agreeing to the terms of this Policy. The Privacy Policy should be read in conjunction
with the Services terms of service (the Terms of Service”). Your use of the Services indicates
your understanding of, and agreement with the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy.
We take the privacy of our Users seriously and are committed to safeguarding your personal

1. Information We Collect and Store
Luminari will collect information from you when you access or use the Services, including
when you register for an account with us through either the Services. Luminari also collects
information from visitors to our Sites.
2. Registration and Account Information
The information in this section applies to all User accounts (each an Account”). When you
create an Account with Luminari we will collect certain information from you, including your
name, your contact information, such as your email address and phone number, and related
personal information in regards to your CPA license, such as your birthday or license number.
You may decide to integrate your Account with a third-party applications (i.e. Google). In
connection with such integration, you authorize us to collect certain information that you have
provided to the third-party applications, including your profile information, as well as any
information that you make publicly available on or through the third-party applications. By using
these third-party applications to interact with the website, Luminari is not given access to your
login credentials, user name, password, or any information you may provide directly to these
applications. You are strongly advised to review the privacy policies of any third-party
applications you use to interact with our website, so that you fully understand how the
third-party website might collect and use information regarding your Luminari account and
usage.
3. Payment Information
When you make a payment for the Services, you will be directed to a third-party payment
service (such as Stripe, Quickbooks or the Apple App Store) who will process your financial
information. We only receive a copy of the receipt the third-party payment processor provides
to you that is a cryptographically secure confirmation.
4. Third-Party Information
When you use the Services, we may collect information of third-parties that you provide to us
or authorize us to collect, including the personal information of your friends or colleagues
(“Third-Party Data”). You are responsible for obtaining the necessary consent for the collection
and use of Third-Party Data and for the disclosure of this data to us.
5. Log and Website Information
When you access the Sites prior to or with or without the intent to register and use the
Services, we may automatically collect certain technical information about your visit, including
the date, time, browser type, your internet service provider, your IP address, device information
including device identifiers, geo-location information, computer and network performance data,
the URL that you are coming from and your navigation history in order to customize and
personalize your experience on the Services, improve our Services and for statistical research
purposes.

about our User base.

personal information is transferred outside of Canada or of the United States, we assure that
the data remains protected to the appropriate standards. You should be aware, however, that

Service.

Luminari. Your personal information will be used and disclosed solely for the purposes related

the personal information.

We may anonymize data you provide or we collect, and combine it with anonymized data from
other users. We reserve the right to use anonymized and aggregated information and data for

personal information, taking into consideration the sensitivity of various types of personal
information. There is no guarantee against data breaches. However, we have taken
reasonable measures to prevent a breach. In the event of a data breach, we will notify Users of
the breach as required by the law of the country where you live, at the first reasonable
opportunity to do so.

We use “cookies” to collect information and improve the Services. A cookie is a small data file
that we transfer to your computer or mobile device. We may use “persistent cookies” to save
your User ID and login password for future logins to the website. We may use “session ID
cookies” to enable certain features of the website, to better understand how you interact with
the website and to monitor aggregate usage and web trac routing on the website. You can
instruct your browser, by changing its options, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you
before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit. If you do not accept cookies, however,
you may not be able to use all aspects of our website. We may use the data collected from
“cookies” and web browsers for its own purposes, both related to and unrelated to improving
our Services. In the event we disclose this data to any third-party for any purposes, it will be
used anonymously and stripped of any and all personal or identifying information. We do not
currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals.

We do not knowingly collect, use or disclose personal information from individuals under the
age of 18. If you are the parent or legal guardian of an individual under the age of 18 who may
have provided us with personal information, please contact us at help@lumiqlearn.com. to
have this information removed.

This Privacy Policy may be amended or updated from time to time to reflect changes in our
practices with respect to the processing of your information, or changes in the applicable law.
